Form Page Type

Add a Form Page

Your form's initial page type must be a Form page type. A Form page type can not reference an action.

Steps to Add a Page to a New Form

  1. Select Forms in the menu.
  2. Click the Add Item Button in the list app bar.
  3. Fill in the required details on the General Page.
  4. Click the Pages tab.

  1. Click the Add Pages button.

  1. Type a caption in the Caption field.
  2. Click the Fields tab.

  1. Click the Add Fields button to add fields to your form.

  1. On completion of the last field, click all three Save buttons in the stacked form app bars.

At least one field will need to be added to each Form page type before saving the form.

Build a Form Over Multiple Pages

Your form's initial page type must be a Form page type. A form page type cannot reference an action.

Example

You have an Employee table in your database that holds their personal details and superannuation details, however, you want to separate this content onto different pages of your form.

Post Requisite

Create a menu item referencing the form.

Steps

  1. Select Forms in the menu.
  2. Click the Add Item button in the list app bar.
  3. Type a title in the Title field. For this example, Employees.
  4. Use the lookup icon in the Table field and select the required table. For this example, the Employee table.
  5. Click the Pages tab.

  1. Click the Add Pages button.

  1. Type a caption in the Caption field. For this example, General.
  2. Click the Fields tab.

  1. Click the Add Fields button.

  1. Use the lookup icon in the Field field and select the table field.
  2. Type a caption in the Caption field.
  3. Use the lookup icon in the Display Type field and select the required display type.
  4. Click the Save button in the form app bar.

  1. Repeat for the number of fields required for this page.
  2. Click the Save button in the form app above the list.

  1. Click the Add Pages button.

  1. Type a caption in the Caption field. For this example, Superannuation.
  2. Click the Fields tab.

The default for a page type is Form.

  1. Click the Add Fields button.
  2. Add the fields required for the second page.
  3. Click all three Save buttons in the stacked form app bars on completion of the final field.

How This Will Look in Your End-User Application

  1. Select the menu item referencing the form in the menu.
  2. Click the Add item button in the list app bar.

The form will be separated over two pages. Clicking the tabs will guide you through the different pages of the form.
