How to Use the Browse Button

All fields with a reference form include a Browse button that allows you to access the details of the reference form. The reference form will be in a read-only format and can be selected to fill the field on the current form.

Prerequisites

  • The relationship must be established at the table-level.
  • The field must have a display type of _Lookup, _LookupQuery, or _LookupUnique.
  • The Reference Form field must have a form to reference.

The field must have a display type of _Lookup, _LookupQuery, or _LookupUnique because these display types can reference a form.

  1. Select the required menu item in the list.
  2. Navigate to the field holding the Browse button.
  3. Click the Browse button in the field.

  1. Click the Next and Previous buttons to navigate through the reference forms.
  2. Click the Save button in the form app bar for the value to be inserted into the field.

Cancel Selection

  1. Click the Cancel button in the form app bar.

  • If a form has already been selected and has a display type of _LookupUnique, it will no longer be available when browsing.
  • The reference forms will be in a read-only format, no editing can be performed here.
