The Book Club application is an application that members can search for books to borrow from other members. Each member can enter books into the system they wish to lend out.

It is expected that you have a basic knowledge of Five and have performed our Quick Start Guide before attempting the Book Club application.

You will learn the following in the Book Club application:

  • How to create a mulituser application
  • How to create and edit tables and interact with Five's iUser table
  • How to create custom display types
  • How to create and edit forms and interact with Five's Users form
  • How to deploy an application to the development environment
  • How to create menus to assign to a role
  • How to create a role and assign a menu to a role
  • How to import data and date formats
  • How to migrate a role to a user
  • How to create a dashboard which can take data and this data can be filtered using clickable fields
  • How to add a table event

If you want the Book Club application as a reference, click to download the FDF file BookClub.fdf and you can import the FDF into your Five account.

If you are building the application, you can't have both application ID's called BookClub.
