The Named User functionality enables only one session, per user, per device. For example, if you have a user log into your application using a desktop and then they log in from their mobile, they will delivered a message stating 'The user you are trying to sign in with is already signed in. Do you want to end their session and sign in?' The user will have the option to cancel or sign in. If they sign in the other session will end.
Your application must be a multiuser application to set a one active session, as a single-user application requires no login.
Set One Active Session
1. Select the application record in the list.2. Either click the Edit button in the form app bar or click directly on the Named Users switch.
3. Click the Named Users switch, followed by the Save button in the form app bar.
One Active Session in Your Application
The user will sign in as normal to their account on their first device. When they go to another device and sign in they will be delivered the message shown in the image below.
If the user opts to sign in, the original session will end and they will be delivered the message shown in the image below.
