Configure Your Application for Production Use

Last updated 15/10/2025

Configuring your application for production use is a critical step to make your application available to your end-users. Five makes it easy for you to have your application production ready, as you only need to click the Production switch on the Application record to run reliably in a live setting.

By default, only one application can be flagged as the production application. To have more than one production application, please contact our sales team for pricing information.

You can handle your deployment environments using the Cluster Management page on your instance record.

Basic Plan

On the Basic plan, you can have three applications deployed to the development environment, however, only the application flagged as the Production application will continually run in the development environment, effectively making your application production configured. This ensures this application has no downtime once deployed. If you have any other applications, you can deploy them to the development environment, however, after two hours of inactivity they will close.
